how can I connect my Tablet PC to......?
How can I use the display of my tablet PC as a second monitor using only a VGA output of the thing im trying to connect to.
The thing i am trying to connect to is a chart plotter with a VGA output.
Please explain step by step of give a source that can....thanks
You cannot use the TabletPC as an input device from another.
Almost all TPC's can output VGA to a secondary screen, but there is no input to allow you to use the TPC as a screen. This would be the same with any full computer/laptop.
What you might be able to do is use a remote desktop function to view your plotter output on the TPC screen. To do this you would need to network the plotter and the TabletPC.
Is the plotter running from a full desktop computer? If so look in the Network Connections from the Control Panel (this is assuming you're running Window, of course). This will let you set up a local Network and from there you should be able to share desktop views via Remote Desktop.
If this plotter is a stand-alone unit with no networking capability then I know of no way to do what you want.
